FUNCTION usually comes before form - but not with Tarkett’s new Safetred Design Collection.
Carrying on the company’s reputation for manufacturing beautifully designed yet high-performance flooring, the range has been created using high-end design principles while still delivering the benefits of slip-resistant safety flooring.
The new collection includes 26 designs, a Loose Lay construction option and comes with a range of accessories to make the fitting process easier.
Steve Urwin, UK Marketing Manager for Tarkett, said: “Our Safetred Design Collection offers a complete package of commercial safety flooring solutions with fresh, aesthetically pleasing features. We have created a decorative safety flooring toolkit that we feel will be very useful to architects, specifiers and contractors.”
Available for the first time are ceramic effect tiles as well as the ever-popular wood and stone visuals.
Steve said: “The collection is visually striking and design-led. It’s available in three constructions including a textile backed ‘loose lay’ version which can be installed over subfloors up to 90%RH and an option with an acoustic foam backing.”
Sitting alongside the range is a selection of suitable accessories including Tarkospray, a commercial grade aerosol adhesive, and VS100 ventilated skirting, which helps subfloor moisture evaporate over time.
Steve said: “We’re sure the Safetred Design Collection will be well-received by specifiers and installers alike as what we’re offering here is a truly decorative solution for every application. This range will also still benefit from our special ‘ultimate flexibility’ formulation, making it easy to handle even in cold conditions.”
Manufactured in the UK, the Safetred Design Collection uses a minimum 37% recycled content and is the first sustainable safety flooring available in a tile design.
The 26 colours are available in three constructions: Compact, Loose Lay and Acoustic – ideal for any application in schools, hospitality and leisure centres, housing, hospitals and care homes.
