The recently introduced EB24 window profile is now available from all Steel Window Association members, offering architects and contractors an answer for both contemporary architecture and historic period window replacement. The EB24 model presents the familiar slender sightlines of the framing and glazing beads of the steel window, maximising solar gain by saving energy through the reduced use of artificial light.

Designed for use in sensitive fenestration projects where a traditional steel window appearance is required, EB24 combines the added advantage of externally beaded glazing with a thermal efficiency U value of 1.8W/m2K to comply with Approved Document L of the Building Regulations.

Frames are precision manufactured with corner joints mitred, welded and dressed square flat with 24mm insulated glass units. A wide selection of handles, locks, catches, stays and openers are available, including antique fittings ad purpose made decorative handles plates to match originals. Horizontal and vertical glazing bar design options are available to optimise the design opportunities. Polyester powder coated for ultimate durability, the EB24 has a chamfered clip in bead to resemble outside putty glazing.

Tested successfully to BS6375 and “Secured By Design”, the EB24 window meets the requirements of BS7950, so security is assured. And with the unsurpassed life expectancy of steel, the EB24 combines low maintenance with the highest quality performance to offer an exceptional new option for top, bottom and side hung and fixed light windows, and single and double doors.
