In response to demand from architects and specifiers, JELD-WEN has released a new updated CD-ROM containing technical drawings for its windows, door frames, patio doors and stair products.

The interactive CD-ROM was specifically designed to make the specification of joinery products easier. The format is very user friendly and technical drawings can easily be dragged and dropped into CAD drawings to provide a much clearer picture of the specification of the product, in line with the latest building regulations. The CD-ROM contains all JELD-WEN’s new products, including energy efficient timber windows, composite doorsets and stylish new designs for internal and external doors. It also has a 3D function for stairs which means they can be visualised from many different angles, giving a much clearer indication of how they will appear when fitted into a building.

Tony Pell, product manager for JELD-WEN, explains: “Last year we had literally thousands of requests for our CD-ROM and all the signs show it will be just as popular this year. As regulations become tighter, specifying doors and windows is becoming more complicated, but this CD-ROM really does make them much easier to specify.”

This is the latest in a whole suite of new marketing support material from JELD-WEN that is designed to make the specification of windows, doors and stairs more simple and straightforward.

JELD-WEN has recently launched a new Technical Guide to Timber Windows and external joinery that is helping specifiers who are looking for a simple solution to meeting Building Regulations and the requirements for thermal performance, acoustics, mobility and security.
