As construction companies look to use Social Media to make the most of 2014, the Building Centre has launched a series of social media workshops devised specifically for them.
Led by renowned social strategist Su Butcher, the workshops aim to set up a company with a strategic plan and their staff with skills in three major platforms; LinkedIn, Twitter and Blogging.
The Building Centre has partnered with Su Butcher, who has been developing and running these workshops for two years across the UK and at Herman Miller’s National Design Centre in Aldwych. Over 150 construction professionals have attended the workshops, which have also been delivered in-house to teams of architects, construction product sales teams and marketing professionals at some of the best-known UK construction companies.
Each practical workshop is an interactive mix of instruction, discussion and group work, together with live demonstrations and opportunities to try out techniques during the day. Every day also includes a section on measuring the results of social media, which Butcher states is essential ‘to know what works, and what to do better’. Participants come away with a plan to implement, a detailed workbook and on-going support via a dedicated Linkedin support group.
The workshops begin with a Social Media Strategy day on 18 February and continue with Linkedin, Twitter and Blogging on subsequent months. Full details and information on how to book can be found on the training section of the Building Centre Website.
