Rockfon Contour is an economic baffle offering new opportunities for correcting acoustics in areas where frequent and unhindered access to service installations is required. This frameless baffle has a minimalistic edge underlined by an elegant bevel, while its smooth white surface is long-lasting and ensures good light reflection. Contour offers the highest performance in sound absorption and contributes to reducing reverberation time and ambient sound level, enabling the optimal level of acoustic comfort in areas where a standard suspended ceiling cannot be used. It is also ideal for acoustic correction in premises using thermal mass, by enabling the air to flow freely around the room.
Rockfon Eclipse is an innovative ceiling island offering acoustic solutions with a new aesthetic dimension. It can be used where traditional suspended ceilings are unsuitable, such as glass roofs, historic buildings and thermal mass buildings. Trendy and stylish, Eclipse is available in square and rectangular formats offering a solution for any room configuration. The Islands are frameless, with a minimalistic sharp edge underlined by a subtle and elegant bevel. Eclipse offers the highest performance in sound absorption, which is optimised thanks to the product absorbing sound on both sides. Made from a 40mm stone wool panel, the visible side is covered with a painted glass fleece to give a smooth white surface, while the back is covered with a white acoustic fleece that provides excellent light and heat reflection.
Building materials used in schools need to withstand wear and tear and rough treatment. Impact resistance of suspended ceilings is tested in accordance with EN 13964 Annex D, which defines three impact resistance classes. Class 1A is required for heavy duty sports halls where heavy impact ball sports are played. Rockfon has developed a new ceiling tile and grid system that reaches this arduous 1A classification. The new Boxer ceiling system also offers further advantages over alternative solutions by providing best in class sound absorption and the highest fire classification (A1). It is easily demountable, lightweight and dimensionally stable, even in humidity of up to 100% RH. The large format of the Boxer tile (1166x1166mm) makes it ideal for big sports halls.
All of these exciting innovations will be on display on Rockfon's stand No. 1270 at BSEC. Visitors will have the opportunity to view and handle the products as well as learning more about their performance characteristics. General information about Rockfon and their entire range of acoustic ceiling solutions will also be available.
