Due to a recent growth in sales and the extensive selection of sport, leisure and playground surfaces available, Playrite has once again invested in its sales force and are keen to introduce the newest recruits to the Playrite team. Ready to hit the ground running for 2011, Playrite are proud to introduce Lorna Duncanson, Marketing Manager and Sean Colbert, Area Sales Manager.

Chris comments: “Playrite has always been under the radar as a UK manufacturer of sports surfaces, however due to the success Playrite has seen over the last three years it is time to promote our company and quality products within the sports sector.”
Lorna Duncanson joins Playrite from her previous position with leading nursery retailer Mamas & Papas, but is no stranger to our industry. Previously, she has worked with Playrite’s sister company Heckmondwike FB and is second generation to be involved with the National Floorcovering Group. She comments: “I was attracted to working for a close knit company like Playrite and there’s a great atmosphere here, especially in the office - which any of our customers will tell you!
Playrite is a great opportunity for me to further develop an already successful brand. With new products and a growing range that covers artificial sports grass, leisure turf and playground safety surfaces, 2011 is definitely going to be a big year for Playrite.
Overall, Playrite has seen a major growth in its multi-sports division and now sees an opportunity to strengthen its position in safety play for children’s play areas. Working alongside their current customer base, Playrite aims to expand sales into the playground safety surface sector with their PlaySafe product range, offering expert advice and in some cases, a tailor made product to suit the individual.
Sean Colbert comes to us from Technical Surfaces, where he worked for 13 years as Technical Manager, accumulating a wealth of experience in delivering presentations, organising industry conferences, delivering seminars and providing on-site demonstrations - all to specific target audiences such as clients, industry associates and the media.
He brings with him 15 years of experience in the synthetic sports surface industry and his knowledge of the market and expertise in advising customers is an excellent acquisition for Playrite and PlaySafe, which Sean will be specialising in.
