New Products and New Accreditations for the Playrite Range

In recent years Playrite has expanded its production capacity and is now capable of manufacturing needlepunch, woven and tufted products. Having invested in a tufted operation two years ago Playrite has moved quickly in having their surfaces approved by governing bodies.

Most recent is the appointment of the FIH licensee along with three multi-sport products within our range, Tournament 18, a sand dressed durable surface, Champion 24, a sand filled surface with choice of two fibre textures and Conqueror 40, a 3G surface.

Also newly developed is a sand filled simulating clay product Clayrite, which has been classified by the ITF under category 2 – Medium slow. Specifically developed for Tennis, Clayrite provides all weather use, increasing playing time and revenue potential and is easier to maintain than traditional clay surfaces.

With its production factory based around 8 acres within West Yorkshire, Playrite has been manufacturing artificial sports turf in the UK for over 20 years and is firmly established as a leading UK specialist manufacturer in the sport industry, as well as having a range of leisure turf and playground safety surfaces.

The company is proud of its tradition of supporting UK manufacturing and has a strong heritage of quality workmanship for which its products are renowned.  The company has in-house research and development facilities, which includes providing technical support to customers and a first rate after-sales service.

Playrite has achieved the ISO14001 environmental standard and its production processes are carried out to meet ISO 9001 accreditation.
