New Heat Pump Sizing Calculator From Dimplex

Leading name in renewables Dimplex is making life easier for installers with a new online calculator to help with calculating the heating requirements of a building and selecting the most appropriate heat pump and ancillary equipment.

The new heat pump sizing tool at allows users to input details about the project they’re working on, generating a report that can be used to give homeowners a useful estimate of costs before they decide to proceed to a full quotation, saving valuable time and allowing more initial enquiries to be handled quickly and efficiently.

The report includes a summary of the recommended equipment for the project with prices and the relevant product datasheets, a calculation of the expected savings against the current fuel type, and a hydraulic showing how all the components connect together.

Installers just need to enter details about the geographic location, size and construction of the property, select the type of heat emitters to be used with the proposed system and provide an estimate of hot water demand. Based on these figures and pre-set information such as the flow temperature suitable for the heat emitters selected, the calculator identifies a number of suitable complete heat pump solutions.

To make specification simple, the calculator also compares a selection of recommended Dimplex heat pump packages, allowing the installer to view what equipment is included in each package, as well as examine the running cost estimates.

Creating an account will help users to get the most from the calculator, including the option of saving the report or printing it out. For help in getting up and running, visit the installer information section on the Dimplex Renewables website, to view short tutorial videos on getting started and on using the online calculator.
