A new version of the Premier-Slide 100 automatic door operator
has just been launched by Global Automatic
s, one of the leaders in the market.
The new version of Premier-Slide 100 builds on the reliability and success of the original design for automatic sliding door solutions
, and incorporates a number of innovations. Amongst these are a first for the industry - a self diagnostics display as part of the flush mounted doorframe switch. It’s a great device for users and engineers alike. It will automatically and immediately display anything affecting the door operation so that users can identify it for themselves and re-set where appropriate or relay the information to an engineer so that they are well equipped before making a site visit. It is also a useful device when the units are first installed as the display will show engineers any initial faults or teething issues.
Proudly designed and built in the UK, the new Premier-Slide 100 is encased in an attractive aluminium housing only 10cm high, and provides all the benefits of the original. It is of robust construction with precise micro-processor technology, has heavy duty steel brackets, reinforced toothed belt and a high quality extruded housing making this operator suitable for heavy and high usage door sets. The use of nylon wheels on an aluminium track make for the quietest possible operation.
As with other units in the Global Automatic
s’ range, the Premier-Slide 100 is easily set up with simple wiring where every device is on a separate plug so that if there are any later problems they can be easily diagnosed. The sliding door operator has a number of functions such as Exit only; Enter only; Closed; Hold open; Partial open or winter mode; Autowidth – adjusting the opening according to frequency of traffic; and Pharmacy, allowing small partial and locked opening.
As with all Global Automatic
door operators, the company offers the products to installers completely unbranded so that individual company logos can be programmed onto the full colour display screen of the door switch.
The new Premier-Slide 100 is ideal for a range of applications including those in hospitals, councils, leisure and retail and fully complies with the DDA Part M accessibility regulations.
The new Premier-Slide 100 is also being made available as a retrofit kit as a cost-effective solution for replacing troublesome or obsolete sliding door equipment. This provides a useful upgrade with all the benefits of the new product whilst re-using existing housings and wheels and allows a retrofit installation in just two hours including wiring and set-up with no modifications or drilling required.
