Caroline Lucas MP, has praised the work of specialist renewable energy installer, Venus Property Solutions as she recently toured the revamped St Albans Road Traders Association in Watford.
“Independent renewables businesses such as Venus Property Solutions are at the heart of the new green economy – creating local jobs, reducing carbon emissions and boosting the country’s reputation as a great place to invest in the green industries of the future,” she said.
The home improvements company, which is based in the re-launched Watford business park, was established to specifically help homeowners and businesses understand how to improve all aspects of their property and serve as a guide to the wide range of renewable technology now available.
“Clean energy sources such as heat pumps and solar PV panels are vital to providing secure and sustainable power for our homes now and in the years ahead,” added Lucas.
The MP for Brighton Pavilion and former leader of the Green Party was shown around the company’s showroom by Renewables Manager, Anthony Greenall who explained how the company has been set up to help homeowners and businesses improve almost any aspect of their property, from choosing a cost-effective energy supply to deciding when to make the switch to renewable technology.
Venus is an Accredited Ecodan® Installer with Mitsubishi Electric, and Mr Greenall showed Ms Lucas exactly how versatile the air source heat pump system is. “We showed the MP a 14kW unit that we have installed to provide heating and hot water to the showroom and she was impressed with how capable the Ecodan is,” he commented.
“People are often surprised that the Ecodan can provide all of the heating and hot water they need, all year round, and when they come to visit us, they are really taken with how quiet it is,” added Mr Greenall. “Ecodan is the only air source heat pump to be awarded a Quiet Mark and we are installing more and more units as people realise how much the system can help reduce running costs, especially over oil and LPG heating systems.”
