Michael Rose has stepped down from his role as Chairman of The Building Centre Group Ltd, a position that he has held for the past 16 years.
During this time the Centre has firmly established itself as a leading venue for the Construction Industry and has undergone considerable changes.
Prior to his appointment Michael retired from his role as Deputy Chairman of Hanson Brick, which followed his previous appointment as Managing Director of Butterley Brick Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary of Hanson PLC.
Michael has also held a number of Chairmanships within the sector including several Government committees involed with International Trade, The Building Materials Export Group, The Brick Development Association, The RIBAs British Architectural Library Trust and The Architecture for All campaign.
He has also served as a member of the Architects Registration Board.
Michael was awarded a CBE for services to International Trade in the 1988 New Years Honours list and was made an Hon. Fellow of the RIBA in 2003.
Richard Hill Managing Director of ACO and a Trustee of the Building Centre Trust who has served as a Non Executive of the Group has been appointed as Michaels successor.
