Heatrae Sadia’s Megaflo Eco SolaReady has been shortlisted in the Domestic H&V Product of the Year category of the H&V News Awards, taking place on April 24 2014.
The H&V News Awards are an important event in the heating and ventilation industry’s calendar, celebrating excellence across all sectors of the building services sector and honouring products as well as apprentices, installers and contractors.
Nominated in the Domestic H&V Product of the Year Category, Megaflo Eco SolaReady simplifies solar thermal hot water installations, reducing costs and improving site efficiencies.
An innovative combination of a high performance Megaflo Eco Solar cylinder and a factory wired and plumbed pump station, Megaflo Eco SolaReady comprises a unique combination of components, and is designed to be simple and straightforward for installers to fit. All that is required to set up the cylinder is to connect the solar flow and return to the unit, and then to connect one sensor to the collectors. The installation is then complete and ready for simple commissioning.
Megaflo Eco SolaReady comes with a wide selection of collector arrangements, to suit a wide variety of requirements. These include on-roof, in-roof and A-frame flat plate collectors and evacuated tubes.
John Forster, product manager at Heatrae Sadia, comments: “It’s incredibly encouraging to have another Megaflo product shortlisted for the H&V News awards, especially as the competition seems to get tougher every year.
“At Heatrae Sadia we’re always striving to stay at the cutting-edge of modern design and innovation. It’s fantastic that the judges have acknowledged this, marking out the Megaflo Eco SolaReady as a product that demonstrates genuine innovation and the novel application of existing technology to create a solution for new markets.”
As with all Megaflo products, SolaReady has been created with energy efficiency in mind. In addition to the cylinder and the pump station, the system comes with a pre-wired Megaflo differential temperate controller. This controller, combined with 60mm of cylinder insulation, means that heat loss is minimised and energy efficiency is maximised.
