Iron technology leader Saint-Gobain PAM UK, part of leading international materials company Saint-Gobain, is reporting significant increases in the demand it has received for a highly innovative push-fit above ground drainage system.
Despite the continually challenging economic conditions, especially in the construction sector, sales of the company’s Ensign EEZI-FIT cast iron push fit products nearly doubled during 2011 over the previous year.
Mike Rawlings, Marketing Manager – Soil and Drain at Saint-Gobain PAM UK, explained: “Interest and demand for the Ensign EEZI-FIT range has continued to buck the trend in the construction sector. Specifiers and contractors are attracted by its competitiveness through its speed of installation compared with plastic-based systems which often require fusion welding and extended time before testing – meaning faster on-site turnaround with EEZI-FIT - while an increasing number of installers are coming to realise just how quick and simple it is to install and test these products before commissioning.
“Ensign EEZI-FIT products combine all the established virtues of cast iron – strength, robustness, durability, longevity, and minimal maintenance – with the ease of installation associated with push-fit systems. We are delighted with how the industry has received the range and see the growth in demand continuing into 2012, and beyond.”
