Keylite Roof Windows Ltd is delighted to have won a Highly Commended Award in the “Best Building Fabric” category at the recent Housebuilder Product Awards 2014. The company has won this Award for its new Futuretherm Technology Roof Window, which delivers a series of new innovations, and extra performance at no extra cost.
This award is in recognition of the groundbreaking and unique features offered by this innovative Roof Window, with the key innovation being the Integrated Thermal Collar, which is designed to effectively self-insulate the gap between the window frame and the roof, and is achieved by simply pulling back a tab to release the expanding thermal collar foam into the 20mm gap between the window frame and the roof, as the final step of the installation process.
As a result, this great new feature provides a fast, simple and effective insulation solution, reducing heat loss and cold bridging and preventing condensation around the window, for a warmer window in the roof. The new Futuretherm Technology Roof Window also now comes recessed as standard, for increased thermal efficiency and an enhanced in the roof aesthetic appearance. Finally, it now fits even faster than before, as a result of the new Click Fit Hood and Cover Flashings, which offer 50% fewer screws than before.
John Duffin, MD says that: “We are delighted to be recognised for our new Integrated Thermal Collar feature, by winning a highly commended award in the category of Best Building Fabric. We believe that House builders will love this new feature, which recognises the importance of reducing heat loss, and the fact that in avoiding the need for secondary components, the Futuretherm Technology Roof Window will eliminate a potential point of failure in the overall performance of the roof”.
