Jaga wins 2nd large European contract with Mini Canal System

Jaga has announced another win for the Mini Canal system making it their second major European contract in less that a month with this product.

Telefonica, the leading fixed and mobile telecoms operator in Spain, will be fitting 8,000 Mini Canal trench heating units to their new headquarters in Madrid. The building, designed by Rafael de la Hoz, is the largest in Spain spanning 15 buildings, four city districts and will house 14,000 employees at its completion in 2007.

The unique design of the building, described as a 'group of ice blocks' by engineering group- Arup, has a façade of 60000m2 which is a double skin of external glass, hung from the main building by glass fins.

The Jaga Mini Canal system offers a trench heating solution that neutralises cold draughts from glass walls and leaves glazing clear of condensation. The system, which is as powerful as it is unobtrusive, was purchased last month on the New Federation Tower project in Moscow, Russia which is set to become Europe's tallest building at its completion in 2008.
