Jaga provides safe heating solution for Peninsula Medical School
Ledbury, To authentically replicate the typical working environment of a UK hospital, the Peninsula Medical School in Plymouth has recently installed Cocoon LST radiators from Jaga Heating Products in the clinical skills rooms and the ward toilet/bath areas.
The Peninsula Medical School provides practical schooling for students and real world training calls for real world conditions. Vulnerable people such as those found in hospitals would not be placed at unnecessary risk of burning themselves in a real world setting. Accordingly when recreating a ward bathroom to aid student training, The Peninsula Medical School chose products that would exceed NHS standards.
Professor Paul Bradley, Director of Clinical Skills at the Peninsula Medical School, said: “Peninsula Medical School students benefit from learning in a hands on clinical skills environment that mirrors conditions students will experience when they commence their clinical hospital placements.”
The Peninsula Medical School in Plymouth specified Jaga’s Cocoon LST radiators to heat their simulated medical teaching environment based on the company’s reputation of providing safe warmth in hospitals.
The Cocoon LST radiator’s are ideal for use within hospitals and care environments as the outer casing of the radiator remains safe to touch even at high flow temperatures. Additionally the risk of patient injury from falls is also significantly reduced with the installation of a Cocoon LST radiator as it has a soft rounded design to safeguard the vulnerable from harming themselves in a fall onto the radiator.
The benefits of the Cocoon LST radiator extend beyond providing safe warmth. Jaga’s LST radiators are an efficient and cost effective heating solution, with extremely low running costs. The Cocoon LST radiator also incorporates Jaga Low-H20 technology, which enables rapid response to temperature fluctuations to provide maximum comfort with minimum fuel consumption.
Other Jaga products used to successfully heat the Peninsula Medical School include: Iguana Arco radiators used in the medical school’s reception, Deco Panel radiators used within the building’s atrium; and Floor and Wall Mounted Panel Plus radiators used in office areas.
