Ironmongery Direct celebrates a place in the finals of the National Business Awards

Ironmongery Direct is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for this year’s National Business Awards in the ‘Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year’ category.

The Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year category is open to all organisations with no more than £10 million turnover in their last financial year with the award going to the company that best demonstrates significant growth and innovation in its market sector, underpinned by strong financial performance.

Ironmongery Direct recently announced its half year financial results revealing a 62% increase in operating profit and a 36% increase in turnover when compared with the 2008 audited accounts from the same period.

Managing Director, Wayne Lysaght-Mason comments; “I am over the moon to have reached the final shortlist. We continue to grow year on year and I hope our hard work can be reflected in winning this prestigious award.”

As one of the shortlisted finalists, Ironmongery Direct is now preparing to make its presentation to a panel of expert judges at the iconic London landmark ‘The Gherkin’. The winners will be announced during a glittering gala dinner to be held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday 10 November 2009.
