The awards are set to ensure positive and regular supply chain reviews to add even further value to Instarmac’s own performance – value that can be added to a lengthy list of award-winning benefits and service from the company that supplies highway maintenance, pothole repair, urban regeneration, tiling and commercial flooring materials.

ISO 9001 accredited for over 10 years, Instarmac’s quality management system already monitors their supply chain throughout the year.

Simple reviews that calculate action and response from their own suppliers highlight top performers and help to identify areas for improvement. These measures help Instarmac to gain commitment from their supply chain towards constant improvement.

Darren Gough, QHSE Manager for Instarmac explains that “since introducing the supply chain monitoring measures, we can increase our focus towards dealing with suppliers. Any concerns that may arise can be jointly reviewed, allowing a commitment to improvement. This can only then benefit our own customers, enabling us to offer quality service, production and delivery, as well as materials.”

Tom McGhee from Calucem/McFarlane Haulage Ltd earned this year’s award from the company after showing concerted efforts of their own, to commit to identifying opportunities to improve their performance.

Tom stated he was “delighted to receive the award” explaining that their personnel in Pula, Mannheim, Runcorn Docks and at McFarlane Haulage all constantly work together as a team: “I see the same excellent team spirit when I visit Instarmac, as I have been doing for the past 20 years”.
