Innovation Gives Saint Gobain PAM UK A Clear AquaVantage

Iron technology leader Saint-Gobain PAM UK, part of leading materials company Saint-Gobain, has launched AquaVantage, a high-performance road drainage solution that delivers exceptional security and long-lasting value to customers.

AquaVantage is ideally suited for use in surface water channels with a 1:5 profile, including safety, security and durability features that, when combined, helps reduce total life costs. Designed to meet the needs of all stakeholders, AquaVantage offers many benefits to customers, specifiers and operators.

The system has been fitted with an integral captive hinged grating section, ensuring safe and efficient operation, and also includes an integral security device as standard. For those seeking further peace of mind, Saint-Gobain PAM UK also offers the option of a retro-fit locking kit to ensure maximum security.

Paul Thompson, marketing manager – municipal castings of Saint-Gobain PAM UK, explains: “The growth in the intensity of traffic on the roads, as well as our ever-changing weather conditions, means that specifying and installing high-quality, durable drainage products has never been more important. Our deep understanding of the markets we serve has enabled us to develop AquaVantage, a grating system that customers can be confident in.”

The capabilities of AquaVantage include a large  waterway clearing of 2250cm2, able to cope with the most demanding levels of rainfall, and an intelligently-designed water disruption area as part of the unit. This creates turbulence and slows the flow of water, allowing a greater volume of water to pass through the grating. The system is Kitemarked to BS EN 124:1994 and is compliant with HA 104/09 requirements.

Saint-Gobain PAM UK continues to be a company that prioritises the green agenda. Paul continues: “Our products manufactured in the UK are made from 97 per cent recycled materials and are fully recyclable. AquaVantage has been developed at our site near Melton Mowbray, which has been certified to meet BS ISO 14001 requirements for environmental management, as well as IS0 9001 for quality management systems. We are also registered under CEMARS (the Certified Emissions Measurement And Reduction Scheme), highlighting our commitment to measuring and managing carbon emissions as a company.”
