Innovaré Systems has joined the RIBA CPD Providers Network and launched a new accredited presentation, ‘An introduction to structural insulated panel design and construction’.
The presentation provides clear guidance as to how structural insulated panels
(SIPs) respond to the carbon reduction and sustainable building agenda, including a range of case studies to reflect the adaptability of SIPs building systems. Practical insight into how structural insulated panels can comply with the Code for Sustainable Homes and Passivhaus also forms a key element of the presentation, as well as advice on what to look for when researching a SIPs supplier.
aims to provide architects with design guidance for SIP construction and help explain what contributes to good and bad design. Project examples and technical drawings will also demonstrate how a SIPs panel
works to deliver a thermally efficient, airtight building envelope using engineered design and off-site manufacture.
Andrew Orriss, Managing Director of Innovaré Systems
“We’ve invested in providing new technical information and best practice guidance to both architects and contractors looking to SIPs construction as an alternative to traditional build. More stringent building regulations and guidance from Government on low carbon buildings has opened up the marked for SIPs in the UK and as an experienced manufacturing we feel it is our role to provide clear, practical and up-to-date guidance for the design and construction of SIPs building systems.”

Alongside its new RIBA
-accredited CPD presentation, Innovaré has also produced a ‘Guide to i-SIP Construction’ and ‘Introduction to i-SIP Infill Panels’ to provide architects, contractors and developers with design advice and technical information currently lacking in many areas of the SIPs industry. Both documents are available to download at Innovaré’s new Technical Zone at www.innovaresystems.co.uk/technica-zone
