The Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA
) 2012 Awards, recognising innovation and excellence in external wall insulation (EWI), are now open for entries. Launched at the latest meeting for INCA
members on Tuesday 24 January, the awards will be looking for the most successful EWI
projects from the last year.
With the demand for EWI expected to surge after the launch of the Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) later this year, entering the INCA
2012 Awards will help companies to stand out from their competitors. In 2011, all of the projects in the closely fought competition showcased the impact that EWI can have on all types of buildings not only in terms of improving thermal performance and reducing energy usage but overhauling the aesthetic appearance and regenerating the surrounding area.
There are 7 award categories offering opportunities to the full range of EWI
projects in the new build and refurbishment, non-residential and domestic sectors. The winners will be selected by an independent judging panel of industry experts who will be looking for a high level of technical difficulty, outstanding thermal performance, excellent workmanship and striking design and aesthetics. The entry form can be downloaded at www.inca-ltd.org.uk and the awards will be presented at the 2012 INCA
Conference & Exhibition on 3 October.
Ian Lawrence, Group Director of Astley Facades Ltd
, whose Cruddas Park project in Newcastle-upon-Tyne was crowned the 2011 INCA
Project of the Year, explains why he will be entering the awards again in 2012:
is at the forefront of the EWI
industry and winning an INCA
award makes your business stand out from the crowd. I was incredibly proud to pick up the Project of the Year award last year with system designer Weber as it was a great way of showing our clients that we are the best at what we do. I would encourage everyone involved in EWI to enter the INCA
2012 Awards and boost their business prospects.”
2012 Awards are open to all EWI
projects where the system designer and contractor are members of INCA
and the closing date for entries is Monday 19 March.
