The UK's largest privately-owned timber company, Howarth Timber Group, has announced that Caudwell Children will be its nominated charity for the next three years.
The charity is dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children and their families across the UK by providing practical and emotional support and Howarth bids to lend its support through a programme of planned fundraising activities
What makes Caudwell Children unique is that all of the charity’s annual management and administration costs are paid for by an annual private donation, meaning that 100% of donations are used to directly fund the services the charity provides to help improve the lives of disabled children.
Nick Howarth, Managing Director of Howarth Timber Group, said: “We are delighted to announce this long-term partnership with such a worthwhile charity. Howarth Timber Group takes its social corporate responsibly very seriously and we have enjoyed excellent relationships with a number of charities over the years. We look forward to developing a strong relationship with Caudwell Children over the coming years and supporting them through a string of initiatives as they continue to provide invaluable support for disabled children and their families.”
Howarth has previously showed generous support for the ‘When You Wish upon a Star’ charity in the form of fundraising events, which included climbing Mount Snowdon and Mount Fansipan in Northern Vietnam, as well as a trek of the Great Wall of China.
