Hamilton creates new role to drive expansion

Leading supplier of decorative electrical wiring accessories and lighting controls Hamilton Litestat has appointed Ron Thomas as its key accounts manager – a new position created specifically to help facilitate the expansion of the company across all its territories throughout the UK.

Ron will work with Hamilton’s UK sales and specification manager Andy Partington to grow and improve relationships with wholesalers and promote better ways of working with their UK distributor networks. He will be based at Hamilton’s head office in Mere, Wiltshire, but will travel significantly as part of the new role.

“I’m looking forward to building on Hamilton’s existing relationships with electrical wholesalers and distributors, and hope to be able to put my industry experience to good use,” said Ron, who is an electrical engineer by trade but has also held positions as operations manager for ISO standards specialists IMSM, and UK sales and commercial manager for an electrical and lighting product manufacturer.

“Having Ron on board allows us to dedicate much more time and attention on our growing wholesaler and distributor relationships,” added Ian Hamilton, Hamilton’s managing director. “We have a number of exciting new products launching throughout 2011 and Ron will be key in making sure that all our customers are aware of the breadth and depth of what Hamilton offers.”
