Haddonstone enhances major new Irish shopping centre

Haddonstone has recently been involved with a prestigious new shopping centre in Ireland. The company was responsible for the impressive stonework façades of the Marshes Shopping Centre in Dundalk, Co. Lough. The highlight of this major new project is the custom-made portico at the front entrance, supported by massive columns with Corinthian capitals. A classical temple acts as a stunning cupola above the pediment of this structure. Haddonstone designs including custom-made window surrounds have also been used on the rest of the building, with quoins on each of the corners.

The building was designed by Architects WDR and RT Taggart for their client McLaughlin and Harvey. Surveying was undertaken by Hughes McMichael.

Haddonstone’s standard architectural designs range from copings, door surrounds, pier caps and string courses to columns, balustrading and porticos. The company also produces custom-made designs from either architects’ drawings or as copies of originals.
