Gyproc collated screw range doubled

Drywall market leader, British Gypsum, has virtually doubled its range of Gyproc collated screws in response to increased demand from contractors keen to reduce fixing time when working with thicker and multi-layer plasterboards.

New 42mm and 50mm Gyproc Collated Drywall Screws, designed for fixing plasterboard to metal sections, have joined the existing 25mm and 36mm lengths, allowing all common board-to-metal specifications up to triple layer 12.5 board to be fixed using collated screw guns. For timber fixing, a new 51mm Gyproc Collated Timber Screw has joined the range, making it suitable for all typical board-to-timber specifications, up to two layers of 12.5mm board.

Gyproc Collated DryWall and Collated Timber Screws are identical to the loose alternatives, but are supplied in strips of 50 screws, designed for use in collated screw guns.

All Gyproc screws are precision engineered from superior quality carbon steel to provide exactly the right quality and lifetime performance needed for British Gypsum partition or lining systems. They have been extensively tested for pull-out resistance in normal and fire test conditions, and are the only screws specified for use in proprietary British Gypsum systems in order to qualify for the company’s unique SpecSure® lifetime system warranty.

Supplied in boxes of 1000 screws, the new length collated screws will be available from leading builders’ merchants and distributors from late November 2005.
