Green energy firm Stiebel Eltron UK achieves ISO 9001 accreditation

Leading green energy firm Stiebel Eltron UK is celebrating after achieving the internationally recognised ISO 9001 quality mark.

The award, independently audited by the BSI, demonstrates Stiebel Eltron’s commitment to providing quality products and services to its clients.

The Wirral-based company – one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of heat pump and microgeneration technology – started working towards the ISO 9001 in 2012 and Managing Director Mark McManus said the accreditation is a great achievement for the whole business.

“We have invested a lot of time and effort into securing the ISO 9001 accreditation and this will enforce Stiebel Eltron UK’s position as a leader in our field and as a package give us further credibility in the renewable energy and construction sector.

“It has taken us over a year to achieve this accreditation but we deemed it necessary as part of our growth strategy. We aim to show potential clients that we are a serious business and can add tangible value to their development projects.”

Stiebel Eltron UK works with installers, builders and property owners on a wide range of domestic and commercial projects nationwide. The business – part of the global Stiebel Eltron group – is considered as the Rolls Royce of ground and air source heat pump engineering, while also offering solar thermal, solar PV and instantaneous hot water heating products.

Mark said the widely recognised ISO 9001 management tool will significantly improve Stiebel Eltron UK’s operational performance.

“Stiebel Eltron UK customers can be assured of a level of quality that meets ISO 9001 standards. We now have a robust and efficient system that ensures best practice throughout our services and adds value.

“With the recent announcement of the domestic RHI tariff, there will be a wide range of fantastic opportunities for our business going forward and holding ISO 9001 accreditation will further enhance our service offering and credibility.”

ISO 9001 was first introduced in 1987 and requires organisations to demonstrate that they do what they say they do and that they have a quality management system in place to ensure consistency and improvement; leading to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
