GGR Group lead the way with first accredited cladding lifter training course

Lifting solutions specialist GGR Group is proving that safety is their number one priority for customers by starting the UK’s only accredited cladding lifter training course.

As well as supplying cladding lifting equipment for purchase and hire, GGR Group is now able to provide hands-on training to customers as part of their service. Trained operators will be able to use cladding vacuum lifters efficiently to install large-format roofing, wall, ceiling and façade panels made of sandwich, profiled sheeting and glass with ease.

The one day courses will run throughout the year at GGR Group’s ‘Centre of Excellence’ training facilities in Oldham, Greater Manchester and Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire. Learners will be trained on how to select the correct cladding lifter for the job and inspect equipment, before testing their knowledge with theory and practical examinations.

Learners will be guided on best safety practice for using cladding lifters such as the Multi-Clad, which can lift both vertical and horizontal panels, and the Rotaking, which can lift roof panels up to 18m long and unpack interleaf panels.  These models have features such as dual vacuum circuit technology which make them the safest lifters available.

“Even the most user-friendly of equipment can be dangerous when used incorrectly, so we wanted to pass on our technical expertise to customers by including cladding lifting training to our range of services”, comments Graeme Riley, CEO of GGR Group.  “By offering fully accredited and fit-for-purpose training for operators we can make sure safety is kept a top priority”, he adds

GGR Group has been running training programmes for over eleven years, becoming the first UK supplier to provide the CPCS A66 Mini Crane Course and running the only accredited training programme for vacuum lifters in the UK. With many principle contractors and leading trade contractors now requiring operators to have completed the accredited training course before carrying out lifting work on site, GGR Group is leading the way in providing this essential training for the industry.
