Imaginative use of stainless steel is increasingly providing exciting and practical worktops for teapoints or kitchenettes in staff rooms and conference facilities.

Leading the trend is stainless steel specialist GEC Anderson, which has launched a range of fresh teapoint options. These highlight stainless steel as the material of choice for sinks and worktops in newbuild and refurbishment projects.

Because of the versatility of the GEC Anderson range, its made-to-measure teapoints can be configured to suit any application, allowing interior designers absolute flexibility to make optimum use of limited space for catering facilities in offices and other workplaces.

GEC Anderson crafts stylish one-piece worktops from satin or textured stainless steel. It offers a choice of edge profiles and a wide range of integrated sinks, large and small, to meet the needs of user from a few to many. GEC Anderson’s leakproof and durable integrated worktops can be straight, L-shaped or gracefully curved to avoid hard corners.

Martin Tye, GEC Anderson Marketing Manager, says with most organisations now providing self-service tea and coffee facilities, office buildings need at least one teapoint on every floor. “It is often a busy place and potentially messy, so it needs an easy-care solution, which stainless steel provides.

“Stainless steel looks good with all styles of kitchen cupboards. It is simple to clean and can be kept hygienic and spotless with minimum effort, making it both practical and cost effective. Our stainless steel teapoints continue to look good indefinitely – which is impressive to staff and visitors.”

GEC Anderson offers the widest range of standard bowl sizes available ex-stock, from the smallest to the largest, with a choice of circular, rectangular, double and combinations. Special sizes for all shapes can be supplied to order. A choice of flange type and outlet sizes and positions is offered to satisfy all needs.

GEC Anderson products are manufactured from 1mm, 1.25mm, 1.5mm or 2mm brushed satin stainless steel of domestic grade (EN1.4301) or acid-resisting grade (EN1.4401). An optional textured finish is also available.

Founded in England in 1962, GEC Anderson has pioneered the development of made-to-measure stainless steel products. Today, the company’s range includes sinks, worktops, cabinets, shelving and sanitaryware for use in domestic, commercial and specialist environments, such as hospitals and laboratories. All products are manufactured to ISO 9001 and backed by a comprehensive support service from planning and product specification to installation and maintenance.
