Keylite Roof Windows is delighted to announce that our Futuretherm roof window has been shortlisted for ‘Best Roofing System/Product’ at the Build it Awards 2015. The Build It Awards celebrate all aspects of self-build and renovation, including completed projects, products, services and suppliers. The awards bring together architects, manufacturers and key industry figures in recognition of innovation and excellence in the custom home sector.
The Keylite Futuretherm Roof Window is 100% focused on innovation and, with a range of unique and innovative features, is designed for simple, fast installation and better in-the-roof thermal and aesthetic performance.
The key innovation delivered by the Futuretherm range is the unique Expanding Thermal Collar, which provides a simple solution to the prevention of heat loss. By simply pulling the release tape, the insulation collar is activated and expands around the frame, closing the 20mm gap between the window frame and the roof, and providing an effective barrier against heat loss and the effects of cold bridging.
This ground-breaking feature now fundamentally changes the entire roof window installation process owing to the fact that the thermal collar is now pre-fitted to the window as standard, unlike all other roof windows which require a secondary thermal collar component. This not only saves the installer time spent on installation, it also saves money for the end user.
John Duffin, Keylite Roof Windows MD, commented: “We are delighted to be recognised for our new Futuretherm Roof Window, by being shortlisted for Best Roofing System/Product at the Build It Awards. We believe that House builders will love the new feature, which recognises the importance of reducing heat loss, and the fact that in avoiding the need for secondary components, the Futuretherm Technology Roof Window will eliminate a potential point of failure in the overall performance of the roof”.
Winners of the coveted awards will be announced at a Gala Awards Dinner held at the Tower Hotel, London on the 24th September 2015, hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis. We wish all the finalists the best of luck on the night.
