Futuretherm Shortlisted for ‘Best Building Fabric Product’ Award

Keylite is delighted to announce that our Futuretherm Roof Window has once again been shortlisted in the ‘Best Building Fabric Product’ category at the Housebuilder Product Awards 2015. Futuretherm is now the preferred choice of many leading builders, featuring a new beneficial Expanding Thermal Collar, which stands apart from all other products in the market.

Our research demonstrated that accessory thermal collars were seldom bought or fitted. This results in a 20mm gap between the window frame and the roof timbers remaining uninsulated, causing cold bridging and heat loss in otherwise well-insulated roofs. With Futuretherm, however, the installer fits the window as normal and then pulls the release tapes to activate the foam collar. The foam collar instantly starts to expand, closing the gap around the frame in a simple action.

John Duffin, Keylite Roof Windows Managing Director commented;

“The Expanding Thermal Collar was designed to meet the industry’s needs for enhanced thermal performance in line with Part L 2013 regulations required ‘Fabric First’ approach for energy efficient homes. We are therefore extremely proud to be recognised by the Housebuilder Awards for our commitment to this approach within the industry.”

Now in their 11th year, The Housebuilder Awards recognise innovation and excellence and have become the most coveted in the industry. Winners will be announced at a gala lunch at Edgbaston Stadium on Thursday 25th June and we wish all the finalists the best of luck on the day.
