Five countries, 60 hours and only two wheels

Following on from their successful London to Paris Cycle Challenge in 2009, BSS Industrial MD Frank Elkins, along with the Finance and Supply Chain Director Steve Harris and Business Development Director Tom Wilson, have travelled through five countries in just two and a half days to raise a staggering £8,000 for Rainbow Trust.

Starting in Turnberry Scotland on 8 October, the team cycled to Stranraer and caught the ferry over to Northern Ireland. They then pedalled down to Dublin where they hopped on another ferry to Anglesey in Wales before finishing up in Liverpool, just 60 hours after the start of their impressive journey.

BSS Industrial Managing Director Frank Elkins said: “The cycle ride was a huge challenge for us all, especially with the UK weather. However, as with all our fundraising efforts, we just kept in mind the great cause that it was all in aid of. We hope every penny will make a difference to those families who rely on the respite care provided by Rainbow Trust.”
