Leading water treatment manufacturer Fernox has become the first chemical water treatment company to become a member of the Heat Pump Association.  Fernox can provide a complete range of heat transfer fluids for both air and ground source heat pumps to ensure longterm efficiency is maintained.

The Heat Pump Association (HPA) is the UK's leading authority on the use and benefits of heat pump technology and includes many of the country's leading manufacturers of heat pumps, components and associated equipment.

Fernox has invested significantly in the development of a new generation of chemical water treatments for renewable technology sources including ground and air source heat pumps.

New products include HP Fill and HP Cleaner, developed to provide installers with solutions for prevention and remediation of bacterial and ground work contamination within ground source arrays. The range also includes heat transfer fluids, HP-5 and HP-15 that provide superb frost protection and bacterial control through the inclusion of inhibitors and an active biocide to ensure system longevity.

Francine Wickham, European Marketing Director for Fernox commented:

“We are delighted to become a member of the Heat Pump Association as it further demonstrates our continuing commitment to the renewable market. Fernox is working alongside the Heat Pump Association to promote the importance of chemical water treatment and best practice when it comes to these new technologies. Air and ground source heat pumps require treatment and protection to ensure longterm efficiency.”
