Cold Applied Rubber Roofing From Quay Plastics

Building plastics specialist, Quay Plastics, has introduced a rubber roofing system from Firestone.

Designed for use on a variety of flat roof housing applications, such as extensions, garages, carports and outbuildings, the high performance rubber roofing system helps to reduce the risk of leaks on vulnerable and exposed roofs.

Quick and easy to install, the cold applied system requires no flames and is supplied in one manageable piece with no difficult seams or joins. Plus, the lightweight and flexible material, requires minimal maintenance, making it popular with homeowners and reducing the amount of aftercare needed from trade professionals.

Julie Whitehead for Quay Plastics, said: “With a life expectancy of up to 50years, this really is a ‘fit and forget’ product, allowing homeowners to benefit from its weather-proofing properties without the additional cost and hassle of maintenance and refits.

“As home extensions become more prevalent, and the stock of flat roofs built in the 1960s and 70s begin to deteriorate, installers can capitalise on this trend by offering the Firestone roofing system as a cost effective and easy to install solution.”

Eco-friendly, the Firestone system has achieved ISO 14001;2004 and comes with a 20year guarantee.
