Now in its second year, The Duke of Gloucester's Young Achievers Scheme, organised by Construction Youth Trust, with the support of their Patron, HRH The Duke of Gloucester, is an opportunity for exceptional young professionals to be commended and celebrated for their achievements.
The Scheme is intended to promote the construction industry to young people of all social backgrounds and, as a result, increase the number and diversity of entrants into the sector. The finalists will be judged by a prestigious panel of experts through a rigorous process of presentations and interviews.
Previous winners of the awards have already started their mentoring programme and have experienced not only one-to-one mentoring but also site visits and industry networking events.
Alison Coutinho, mentor of the 2011 Architectural Award Winner said “Mentoring with Construction Youth Trust is an energising and rewarding experience which I wholeheartedly recommend! The enthusiasm from Neil is infectious”.
For the next Duke of Gloucester Young Achievers Scheme, the judges will be particularly looking for young people who have not only achieved excellence in their careers so far but may have had to overcome challenges to get there. They will also look for individuals who have gone the extra mile to promote construction as a career or helped others in the wider community.
Entries must be submitted to Construction Youth Trust by 16th November 2012.
