Combating cooking odours, steam and condensation build up, in commercial catering and institutional kitchens are Xpelair’s professional range of kitchen extractors. Ideal for pub preparation and wash up areas, club kitchens, cafeterias, fast food outlets, corporate kitchens and student block catering facilities, Xpelair’s ChefX units are designed for continuous heavy-duty, demanding use.

Three models make up the Xpelair range – Tempo with air delivery of 400 m3/h extraction capacity, Presto with 2200 m3/h and the big boy of the range, Mezzo with 2800 m3/h at 100Pa. All models are manufactured complete with commercial duty filters and built in high pressure centrifugal fans, which provide direct discharge to atmosphere or connection to ductwork.

The small, but robust ChefX Tempo, useful in student, and staff rest room, food preparation applications, features integral lighting, washable G.S.M. mesh filters, top LH outlet and built in isolator and speed control with ‘on’ light.

Xpelair’s largest extract canopy, the higher duty ChefX Mezzo functions ideally in busier catering outlets with larger volume throughputs. Featuring top centre outlet to accept rectangular or circular ductwork, and centrifugal double inlet fan and scroll assembly, the Mezzo has a speed controllable motor and operates with maximum ambient temperature of 65 degrees C.

For a middle of the range canopy, Xpelair’s Presto is hard to beat, offering all the benefits of the larger Mezzo, but with lower electrical power and current ratings.

For optimum operation, Xpelair recommend that all canopies should protrude outwards approximately 200mm beyond the working surface with the bottom of the hood 1900mm – 2000mm from the floor.
