Balustrade expert Richard Burbidge has supplied its innovative FUSION® Commercial stair balustrade system for an exclusive apartment development in the historic town of Kendal, providing a safe and stylish entrance for residents and potential buyers.
Set in a prime location on the banks of the River Kent, Kentgate Place is a luxury development of contemporary apartments by award-winning housebuilder Russell Armer. The new four-storey development comprises 46 apartments each with its own parking space, balcony and designer bathroom, and also includes 12 local occupancy homes.

The system’s combination of minimalist oak handrails and sleek tubular balusters in a contemporary brushed nickel finish complemented the building’s stylish interior, whilst its availability off-the-shelf meant there were no lengthy lead times.
Plus, FUSION® Commercial
is compliant with UK Building Regulations for communal areas and is tested for public stairs requiring loadings of 0.74kN/m, making it suitable for shared stairwells in apartments, offices or hotels.

Designed for ease of installation, all FUSION® Commercial timber components are supplied pre-cut and pre-varnished, eliminating the need for time consuming finishing. In addition, the brushed nickel balusters are also supplied pre-cut and ready to use.
