British boiler manufacturer and twin flue specialist Keston Boilers offers enhanced training courses that can not only help installers secure additional business opportunities by offering versatile twin flue solutions, but that also allow their customers to take advantage of the new 5 Year Warranty* offered on the Heat 45 and 55 boiler range (subject to terms & conditions).
Keston training courses are available completely FOC and cover the entire range of new generation, Energy-related Products (ErP) compliant Heat, System and Combi boilers launched in 2013. As well as familiarising installers with the features and installation benefits of these ranges, Keston’s expert tutors will also be available to provide guidance on what installers need to do to meet the new ErP Energy Labelling Requirements required after 26th September 2015.
In addition, each training course provides installers with the knowledge to install and service Keston boilers in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines, which in the case of the Heat boiler range will ensure the validity of the 5 Year Warranty* now offered (subject to terms & conditions). As a result, installers will be well placed to form long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with their customers from initial installation through to servicing.
Each comprehensive one-day Keston training course uses a simple step-by-step approach complemented by hands-on training to ensure all aspects of commissioning, servicing and fault finding can be dealt with quickly and efficiently. All installation aspects are covered, including product range overview, product specification, installation requirements, electronic circuits and components, flue and accessory options, component overview, component change and repair, user controls and sequence of operation. The course also includes training on Keston’s boiler accessories, such as sequencer controls, which can be offered to customers as an optional extra to save them even more on their fuel bills.
Installers who will be carrying out large domestic and light commercial installations can also receive training on how to use Keston’s Frame & Header kits. Specially designed to facilitate quick and easy installation of up to six boilers in cascade with a maximum output of 330kW, Keston Frame & Header kits feature a small footprint and a variety of control options to minimise the installer’s time on-site.
Training is also offered on the benefits of Keston’s 50mm MUPVC solvent weld flue, which is compatible with all Keston boilers. This highly innovative flue has been specially designed to reduce time, cost and labour, with extension capabilities of up to 27 metres from the boiler. Each flue section is longer than the sections on a standard concentric flue, resulting in fewer joints to simplify installation and servicing. Not only is the MUPVC solvent weld flue system economical and straightforward to install, it also has the advantage of being extremely durable even when used externally.
Keston’s training courses are designed to directly benefit installers by enhancing their skill-set. The small investment in time made for the duration of the training course pays off immensely in the long run as a result of time saved on site throughout installation and servicing. Additionally, to help installers save time and money, Keston offers the Installer Connect reward scheme where, as well as earning up to £14 for each System or Combi and £24 with every Heat installed, members receive free Gas Safe Notification and warranty registration with every boiler.
