WDR & RT Taggart Pave the Way for Antrim Council with Tobermore Products

21 Dec 2016
Case study

When Antrim Borough Council assigned architect, WDR & RT Taggart, the job of designing the refurbishment of the existing clubhouse at Allen Park Leisure Centre in Antrim, the choice of hard landscaping products was very important as the client wanted to achieve a transformation for the external landscape at the facility. Tobermore provided WDR & RT Taggart with a variety of stunning paving products as a solution for the project.

Allen Park was provided with an investment of £4.2 million from Antrim Borough Council and a further £350,000 from the Enkalon Foundation. The construction works, which included a new sports hall, changing facilities, locker rooms and a committee room, was managed by Woodvale Construction Company.WDR & RT Taggart specified Tobermore’s modern Sienna block paving for the main external area on site and a combination of Tobermore’s traditional Tegula Setts and Retro were selected as complementary bordering products. The tumbled style of Tobermore’s Kerbstone was a perfect kerbing choice to go alongside the paving products incorporated.

The newly transformed Allen Park was officially opened to the public in August 2016.
