Case study

Fontanot has supplied a self standing helicoidal staircase composed of lateral carbon steel structures, treads and landings in solid oak for the stunning Unicredit Pavillion building (designed by Arch.Michele De Lucchi) in Milan.

In Gae Aulenti piazza, in the centre of Porta Nuova, new pulsating heart of Milan's business, in the new polifunctional Unicredit Pavillion space, the helicoidal Fontanot staircase was installed to connect the auditorium on the ground floor the Art Boardwalk.

The treads and the landings are in solid oak with a natural finish. Three steel strips were inserted in the central part of the treads, while the upper landing balustrade is in tempered glass, all illuminated by an LED linear light system.
