Being able to change someone’s life or circumstances for the better is a mission that TV’S Nick Knowles and his DIY SOS crew' have been looking at since 1999.

The presenter and his crew of builders, decorators and designers travel the length and breadth of the country in order to make someone's living situation that little bit easier.

In a special Children in Need episode which aired on BBC One this week, the DIY SOS team went to Swansea for a ‘Million Pound Build Special’ to help The Roots Foundation Wales, a local charity rebuild their support centre. The project would need a raft of high quality flooring as part of the rebuild. To achieve this daunting task the show’s interior designer Sophie Robinson turned to international flooring specialist Gerflor to come to the rescue with advice and the supply of over 100m2 of stunning products in various areas of the facility including the multi-use room, main corridor, therapy room and shop, to make this ambitious transformation possible.

Gerflor’s Marketing Manager, Nav Dhillon said: “The Roots Foundation does an outstanding job looking after young people leaving the care system, so we were delighted to help in any way we could.”
