of the door leaf movements and automatically adjusts performance to accommodate say, a build-up of dirt on the floor.
With an annual footfall of about 8m people, Newcastle Central station is one of the UK’s busiest stations outside of London. The new station concourse is part of a £8.6m refurbishment which has transformed the Grade I listed Victorian building into in a traveller-friendly space with modern standards of accessibility, better passenger information and a brighter environment.
