Case study

Westpoint Homes stunning development, West Mill in Edinburgh, has been named 'Apartment Development of the Year' at the 2015 Scottish Home Awards and ‘Best Show Home’ at the 2015 Glasgow Property Herald Awards. Westpoint Homes have additionally secured the title of 'Developer of the Year' at the 2015 Glasgow Property Herald Awards due to their work at West Mill.

The beautiful development features Tobermore’s permeable Hydropave Tegula paving in the soft blended tones of Bracken. Hydropave Tegula is a permeable paving system from Tobermore that operates as a SUDS solution, combating storm water drainage and preventing flooding and pollution issues. Employing a permeable paving system ensures landscape sustainability and Tobermore’s Hydropave Tegula offers the same aesthetic benefits as the standard Tegula product range, which means that style is not compromised.

Tobermore’s vintage Historic Flags in Bracken are also showcased on the grounds at West Mill. Historic Flags embody a rustic, timeless quality and the fettled edges and riven face add to the warmth and charm of the product, complementing the traditional style apartment buildings at West Mill wonderfully.

Comprised of fourteen sophisticated apartments designed by Fouin & Bell Architects, the properties at West Mill have been built with exceptional craftsmanship. West Mill is situated in an exquisite secluded area on the banks of the Water of Leith in Colinton Village. Only a few miles from Edinburgh city centre, Colinton Village retains the charm of an authentic village and has been noted as one of the most desirable areas to reside in the Scottish capital.
