Lomax + Wood have supplied and fitted another fabulous development in London of a Edwardian period property which has been transformed into luxury apartments.
Former residents of this stunning historical London property include George Bernard Shaw, Virginia Woolf and the poet Arthur Rimbaud.
“We worked closely with the architects and developer to ensure our high performance timber windows enhanced the property and in no way detracted from the period design. In addition to the conservation work we carried out in producing our made-to-order wooden sash windows we ensured they met the acoustic and performance requirements of all those concerned,” says Chris Wood, managing director at Lomax + Wood, “I am also glad both the developer and architect did not pay lip service to sustainability. They ensured they bought timber windows with FSC® Chain Of Custody, too often sustainability and the FSC® brand are used in documents with no real intent to purchase.”
