Lytag® lightweight aggregate no-fines
lightweight screed was used for Concourse A
and B (main terminal building and satellite
building) to minimise the weight loading for
the internal floors. The area requiring
screeding was in the region of 125,000 m².
The material used was Lytag® 4/8mm lightweight aggregate and the mixes were 6:1 and 8:1 LWA: cement. The lightweight nofines screed was laid at 65mm thick with a thin cement: sand topping to receive tiling.
