Take a Closer Look at What We Do

Article

As the UK’s largest privately owned aluminium fenestration systems manufacturer, we’re proud to have an impressive portfolio of completed contracts, with hundreds of buildings across the country featuring our aluminium doors, windows and curtain wall systems. However, if you want to take a closer look at our products in action, meet up with our expert team of technical sales managers and architectural advisors, or find out more about our manufacturing capabilities, then a trip to our head office in South Yorkshire could give you all the inspiration you’ve been looking for.

Dedicated showroom space:
You’ll always be sure of a warm welcome from Senior at our Denaby HQ, particularly as our new showroom and conferencing suite has been fitted out with some of our most thermally-efficient aluminium windows and doors! We’ve invested in creating new product displays to give our customers the chance to see and operate our most popular systems, including our low U-value aluminium windows and doors from our market leading PURe® range, our Ali range of slimline Ali VU windows, Ali SLIDE and Ali FOLD doors, and both our SF52 and SF62 aluminium curtain wall systems. All our product displays also include summaries of the technical detail that our fabricator and specification customers need to know, as well as information on hardware and powder-coating options. Of course, being a Yorkshire-based company, we’ve not forgotten the essentials and you’ll find plenty of space to relax with a brew while you’re here.

In-house innovations:
As our main UK manufacturing site, our Denaby site is home to a variety of in-house innovations, including our state of the art, waste reducing powder coating line which is the most environmentally efficient of its kind, saving over 22 tonnes per year of product from being sent to landfill. Other sustainable iniatives we have put in place include an efficient grey water system to recycle water used in manufacture, a Biomass boiler to heat the warehouse using waste timber from wooden packaging, and on-site electric car charging points for both staff and visitors.

Get hands on:
As well as being able to see where our products are made and enjoy the finished systems in our showroom, we have also created a dedicated space for our customers to learn more about the fabrication and installation process. Our Training Academy offers a comprehensive training programme in the use of our popular SF52 aluminium curtain walling system, combining both theoretical and practical elements. Our course is supported by GQA Qualifications; the leading awarding body and the only issuer of CSCS cards for the glass and glazing industry. Our product training is also available to main contractors to help them improve their own knowledge of the fabrication process and raise awareness of best practice procedures on site.

National team, regional focus:
Working both in and out of our Denaby HQ are our team of technical sales managers and architectural advisors. These two dedicated teams are regionally based and often out on the road, working closely with our fabricator and specification customers respectively. Our team are happy to meet on site or at your place of work, but of course meetings can also be arranged at our new Denaby showroom! Our architectural advisors are also on hand to deliver our RIBA-approved Continuous Professional Development (CPD) seminar on the application of curtain wall systems. Our ‘Curtain Wall – Design, Detail, Delivery’ CPD gives specifiers a greater understanding of the purpose of curtain wall systems, covering the key considerations of aesthetic appeal, performance, sustainability, wind loads and pressures, as well as compliance with the latest energy-efficiency targets and fire regulations. Thanks to having the flexibility of a local contact, this can be done at a workplace or other suitable location, including our own regional offices, and at a time and date to suit.

Destination Denaby:
So where exactly is Denaby? Our South Yorkshire head office is situated between Mexborough and Conisbrough, approximately 8 miles from Doncaster – an historic minster town that was awarded city status in May 2022 as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Senior moved operations to Denaby in 2001, ten years after the company was first established in Bradford in 1991. With over thirty years of successful trading under our belt, we’ve grown to become the UK’s largest privately owned fenestrations systems house and have worked on contracts across the country. We’re also proud to have been involved in the creation of a number of local landmarks, from the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel at Doncaster’s famous racecourse to the stunning Danum Gallery, Library and Museum in the heart of the city. We’re also proud to be a major employer in the area and even as we continue to grow, our roots are firmly here in the UK.
