High performance vinyl flooring from UK manufacturer Polyflor was recently installed at Simply Gym in Cwmbran, Wales, providing a safe, practical and attractive flooring solution for this brand new gym.
Installed by local flooring contractors M2 Flooring Ltd for main contractor Dan Stacey Construction Ltd, Polyflor’s Forest fx PUR sheet vinyl flooring in the Rustic Oak design was chosen for the main gym floor, circulation areas and stairwells around the new fitness facility. The warm oak shade perfectly complements the bright colour scheme to create an upbeat and energising environment for gym members to exercise in.
The Forest fx sheet vinyl range is available in 14 authentic wood effect designs and is suitable for heavy commercial environments in the leisure sector where a high level of footfall is expected. This vinyl floorcovering is further enhanced with PUR, Polyflor’s exclusive and robust polyurethane reinforcement which is cross linked and UV cured to provide superior cleaning benefits and improved appearance retention.
Two of Polyflor’s safety flooring products in matching dark hues were also selected to provide sustainable wet slip resistance in the gym’s changing rooms. Heavy-duty Polysafe Vogue Ultra PUR safety flooring in Galactic was fitted in the changing area whilst Polysafe Hydro Evolve in Black Volta was used for the showers. Polysafe Hydro Evolve features a pimple emboss for use in barefoot and continually wet areas in leisure environments such as walk-in showers, indoor pool surrounds, wet rooms and hydrotherapy areas.
