The fixed pane windows, which are designed typically for use in fire escape routes, entrance halls and fixed lights above and beside doors, offer 30 minute protection from fire to comply with 2006 Building Regs and BS476 Parts 20 and 22. They are an attractive and cost effective alternative to timber and steel fire frames. Adapted from the popular REHAU TOTAL70 window system, they incorporate full, special reinforcement and an intumescent strip which expands with heat to create a fire resistant barrier.
