More than 90% of Polyflor’s homogeneous sheet vinyl ranges – comprising Polyflor Prestige PUR, Mystique PUR, Classic Mystique PUR, 2000 PUR, XL PU and Standard XL – are now certified through BRE Certification Ltd for their environmental profiles.
And when the Ecopoints measured and reported in the certification are compared to BRE’s Green Guide to Specification all products achieve the highest possible “A” rating over a 60-year service life.
“This is further and irrefutable evidence of our continuing work towards the achievement of key environmental goals,” says Polyflor marketing manager Simon James. “And as the only UK manufacturer of homogeneous vinyl flooring there is now an even more compelling case for clients and specifiers seeking the most environmentally preferable products to be using one or more of these outstanding ranges.”
In addition to the new “A” ratings, Polyflor sees the polish-free PUR product group as offering a particularly significant environmental benefit. The products’ polyurethane reinforcement facilitates a polish-free maintenance regime for the lifetime of the floor, greatly reducing water and chemical usage and producing considerable maintenance cost savings.
