GEZE GmbH, parent company to the UK’s leading manufacturer of door and window control systems, GEZE UK, is officially one of the top ten most innovative medium sized enterprises in Germany.

It’s the fifth time GEZE has secured a spot in the Top 100 list, recognising the company’s culture of innovation, and this year, GEZE also achieved second place for ‘Innovative Processes and Organisation’.

As a direct result of GEZE’s innovation strategy, UK customers are already benefiting from many new products this year, including the burglar-resistant version of the classic Slimdrive SL sliding door system, the Slimdrive SL WK2 and the ECturn, a highly versatile, electromechanical swing door drive for internal doors, which enables barrier-free access for all.

The culture of innovation encompasses the global GEZE network, which ensures that all ideas and suggestions with potential are incorporated into a comprehensive development plan, which is streamlined and systematised to bring high quality, accredited products to market quickly.

GEZE CEO Brigitte Vöster-Alber is pleased with the success: "The excellent climate for innovation at GEZE is a key factor for success. We are thrilled to have been named Top Innovator for the fifth time and to belong to the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany – we even reached the Top 10 this year."

Andrew Hall, managing director at GEZE UK, added: "As a family-run business, GEZE has been able to invest in new product development and innovation throughout the recession, which has been good news for our customers in the UK and across the world. This honour is recognition of GEZE’s continued commitment to innovation and its contribution to industry."

Now in its 19th year, the award has become a benchmarking project for medium sized enterprises and GEZE underwent a stringent, two-stage process devised by the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration to qualify. The assessment looked at the innovation stimulation by top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organisation, innovation marketing as well as innovation success.
