Case study

Project Description
Southampton County Council required a waterproof roofing system that would provide a long term solution and deliver value for money for a new housing development. The decision to use the IKO UPXL system offered a lengthy 30 year single point guarantee which (in addition to providing quality and value) was paramount to the project.

Solution
Although the programme of work proved demanding due to multiple trades being on site at any one time, the project moved along at an efficient speed. Working to install the waterproof roofing solution from one end of the building to the other, as the roof substrate was being built, reduced d disruption and kept the project running at a steady pace.

Installation
The shape of the roof made the project challenging in parts, with a lot of detail work around the curved edges, but a good relationship with the Main Contractor allowed the project to be completed on time.
